Workshops and classes
If you are interested in learning the art of Botanical Drawing or wish to brush up on existing skills you might be interested in enrolling on one of my weekly classes or coming to a workshop when I tutor for other providers of art breaks. Listed below are those that I am tutoring on for 2020 along with prices and booking details.
Postponed due to the Coronavirus
If you are interested in learning Botanical Drawing I run weekly two hour classes at the Long Eaton Art Room.
Tuesday afternoon class 1.30pm to 3.30pm
Tuesday evening class 7pm to 9pm
The weekly classes are suitable for both beginners and those with some experience. Tuition begins by learning or improving existing drawing skills using graphite pencil and then moves onto coloured pencil techniques. Alternatively the option is available to work in graphite pencil throughout. When we draw plants we need to understand them therefore as we work through the various plant parts we will learn a bit of botany too.
Experience is not necessary at all, just a desire to work in detail and a love of plants.
The classes have been running for a number of years and have a nice friendly relaxed atmosphere.
The numbers for this course are usually high and booking is essential.
