Commissions

Have you ever considered commissioning an original botanical painting or drawing?  It could be a birthday gift, a rose for Valentine's Day, a wedding present, for Christmas, or pure indulgence for your own wall.  The subject may be a favourite flower, something sentimental and personal to you or the recipient, or flowers from your own garden or wedding bouquet.

Commissions can be to any finished measurement but the flower or plant subject would be life size.  Your choice of medium would be watercolour, coloured pencil or graphite, and since Sue paints and draws from live plant material it is worth bearing the season in mind when thinking of your commission subject.

Framing

Professional bespoke framing is by Clifford Anthony of Long Eaton, Nottingham, and is in addition to the cost of the artwork. Clifford Anthony has a large range of framing material for you to choose from to complete your botanical commission. Alternatively, pictures can be supplied mounted but unframed if you wish, or designed to fit into a favourite frame that you already have.  Traditional style botanical illustrations can suit antique frames and look perfect in period style decor.  If you wish to have a picture commissioned for an existing frame please make sure that there are no woodworm holes and that the frame is not warped.  Please note that the service is not intended to restore old frames but will replace backing, mount or glass where required.  Costs will apply.  Sue will examine the proposed frame prior to commission to ensure that it is suitable for re-use and if in any doubt will seek the advice of Clifford Anthony.
