  • This weekly class is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience. For those new to botanical illustration, tuition begins with learning or improving existing drawing skills in graphite, progressing through to coloured pencil and/or watercolour, and pen end ink techniques.  As the course continues it covers different aspects of the structure of plants, including leaves, stems, root systems, flowers, fruit, etc., before finally being encouraged to work on individual or group projects.  Those who already have some knowledge of botanical illustration are given guidance to work on their own or a group project.  The class has been running for a number of years and has a nice friendly relaxed atmosphere.  The numbers for this course are usually high but spaces do become available and any newcomer would be made more than welcome.
